Some Hearts of Oak fans don’t want the progress of the club – Executive Board Chairman

The board chairman of Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede says the actions of some of the club’s fans means that they don’t want the club to succeed.

Addressing the discontent within the fanbase, Togbe questioned the motives behind the protests, highlighting the exhaustive efforts made by the board to propel the club forward.

Togbe stated that he does not understand what the fans want and what necessitated that demonstration.

“What do they want that we haven’t done? We’ve done everything. After all this the only thing that Hearts don’t have is a stadium.

“We are streets ahead of all our counterparts. I would even say that we will come out as one of the very best in the whole of the subregion.

“So sometimes it is difficult to know what they really want. So it leads you to believe that they just don’t want the progress of this club unfortunately, only sorry to say.”

Well, Togbe’s off field work is showing in his over decade in charge of the club but the results are not forthcoming on the field.

The club has won just one league title and two FA Cups.
