Ghana FA President, Kurt Okraku, has expressed his disappointment at the Black Stars’ failure to win the Africa Cup of Nations title, stating that “it was the team’s dream” to bring the trophy back home.
The trophy drought now extends to 42 years after Ghana’s group stage exit at the continental showpiece.
“Our hope, our dream was to bring the trophy back home. It didn’t work out and we can’t be disappointed enough,” Okraku said at the meet the press event.
“Management and technical decisions have seen us reflect on our work as a team. To reflect on what policies to help bring back the love and glory for the country,” he added.
Despite the setback, Okraku remains confident that the GFA can turn things around and make positive changes to enhance the sport in Ghana.
