The curtains came down on the 2021/22 season across Europe’s top five leagues this past weekend in dramatic fashion.
AC Milan ended their 11-year wait for a Serie A title, piping rivals Inter Milan to the crown.
Manchester City defended their crown, warding off Liverpool’s attempts in dramatic final day action.
Bayern Munich, PSG and Real Madrid won the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and LaLiga title respecitley.
Away from team wins, there were individual awards to be won, among them, the Player of the Season in each league.
Here are the winners;
??????? English Premier League
Kevin de Bruyne
The Belgian was once again pivotal as Man City successfully defended their title in emphatic fashion.
De Bruyne was voted the league’s best player, joining an elite group of players to win the award in more than one Premier League campaign, emulating Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Nemanja Vidic.
“To win this award for a second time is an achievement that I am really proud of,” he told the club’s official website.

Kylian Mbappe
The young Frenchman, who scored 25 league goals for PSG this season, was named the best player of the 2021 Ligue 1 season having led his side to yet another win.
This is the third consecutive time the 23-year-old has won the award, having triumphed last season – when he netted a career-high 42 goals overall — and in 2019.
