Ghana’s U-15 Boys team will renew the age long rivalry with their Nigeria counterparts in their last group match as they seek qualification to the semi-finals at the WAFU B Schools championship in Lome.
Ghana started this year’s CAF African Schools Football qualifiers on a slow note after a 2:1 defeat by Benin. The team came back stronger in their second game to beat host, Togo 1-0. The third game ended in a goalless draw with Ivory Coast.
Ghana will face Nigeria on Saturday, November 25 as the team aims for a place in the semi-final.
The CAF African Schools Football Championship is the brainchild of CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe and its aimed at contributing to the development of Africa’s next generation of football talent and future leaders.
