FIFA Director, Football For Schools Programme meets Minister for Youth & Sports

Director, FIFA Football For Schools Programme Fatamata Sow Sidibe has met Minister of Youth & Sports Hon. Mustapha Ussif ahead of the Ghana Programme which is scheduled to be held at the GFA Technical Centre in Prampram on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

The GFA is working with the Ministry of Youth & Sports, the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service on the Football For Schools Programme which will benefit students from various schools across the country between the ages 4-14 years.

Through this programme, over Thirty Thousand (30,000) Footballs are expected to be shared amongst basic schools for children between the ages of 4-14.

Ghana is among thirty African Countries and seventy-nine FIFA Member Associations across the globe that have signed up for this programme.

The FIFA Director for the Programme who arrived in Accra on Tuesday evening was accompanied by the GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo and other programme Coordinators.

President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku will join the two sector Ministers and the FIFA Programme Director for the launch of the Ghana project at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Astro pitch on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 9:30am – 1pm.

The project forms part of the GFA’s quest to develop all aspects of the game and to boost the capacities of all stakeholders with the support of FIFA.
