Ati Zigi is 2022/23 Swiss Super League best goalkeeper

Ghana international Lawrence Ati Zigi has been voted as the Swiss Super League best goalkeeper by the Swiss Association of Football Players (SAFP).

The SAFP chooses the “Golden 11” which is the best eleven players in the Super League .

The 2022/23 season’s top eleven came resulted in the St. Gallen shot stopper beating competition from three other goalkeepers to emerge the best.

Ati Zigi beat Grasshopper FC goalkeeper Andre Moreira, Young Boys’ Anthony Racioppi, and Servette FC goalie Jeremy Frick.

The Black Stars goalkeeper has been impressive for St. Gallen, making 30 appearances with 3.4 (70%) saves per game, conceding 1.5 goals per game and keeping four clean sheets in the process.

The 26-year-old also made five appearances in the Swiss League team of the week with his outstanding performances week in, week out.

The shot-stopper was Ghana’s first choice at the 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar.
