Black Meteors get new opponents for U23 AFCON qualifier after CAF disqualify DR Congo —

Ghana’s Black Meteors will no longer face DR Congo in the final round of qualiiers for the 2023 U23 AFCON in Morocco.

The Meteors, led by Ibrahim Tanko and Godwin Attram, were scheduled to take on Congo in the final phase of the qualification series.

However, a latest CAF ruling on a protest filed by Algeria and supported by Ethiopia means the Central African nations have been eliminated from the series.

Ghana will now wait for the winner of the games between Ethiopia and Algeria to determine which of the two sides will come face to face with the Meteors.
