Ghana have made a giant step towards qualifying to the knockout stages of the 2022 African Nations Championship with a hard-fought 3-1 win over Sudan in Constantine.
It was imperative to seal victory, having lost the opener to Madagascar 2-1.
The Sudanese got early goal through Al Nooh Gozoli with an intricate build-up before Ghana centre-back Yiadom restored parity before the break.
Captain Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Suraj Seidu step down to score two goals in the second half which ultimately secured three points for Annor Walker’s side.
Barnieh was sent off in injury time for a stamp on a Sudanese player.
The victory moves Ghana to second, joint-point with Group C leaders Madagascar (6).
