Ghanaian youngster Kobbie Mainoo trains with Man Utd ahead of Everton tie
Ghanaian teenager Kobbie Mainoo was part of Manchester United’s training squad ahead of the FA Cup tie against Everton on Friday.
Manager Erik ten Hag called for his inclusion in the team, having been handed the club’s U-21 coaching role.
The Dutch boss is expected to name Mainoo in the matchday team as he looks forward to resting some key players.
The 17-year-old had earlier travelled with the first team during the mid-season preparation in Spain.
The teenage wonder has played an important role for the reserve team this season, featuring ten times and scoring twice in Premier League 2.
Mainoo was key to the youth side’s FA Cup victory last year and hopes to replicate same with the senior team.
