‘He’s a machine’- Inaki Williams waxes lyrical about Ghana teammate Mohammed Kudus

Athletic Bilbao star Inaki Williams has singled out Black Stars teammate Mohammed Kudus following the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The Ajax midfielder was Ghana’s standout player despite their early exit at the Group stage.

Kudus scored two goals, provided an assist and bagged a man of the match award in three games.

The 22 year old is one of the most sought after youngsters in the world with Liverpool, Manchester United and Barcelona all rumored to be interested in his services.

“I think Ajax is starting to get too small for him and hopefully he will make the leap to a big club soon,” Inaki told RadioMarca.

“I would have liked him to have had a Basque family member to be able to bring him to Bilbao because he is a bomb, he is a machine.

“He is very complete and with his young age, he still has a lot of room for improvement.”

Williams also revealed he has already told his club mates about the mercurial talent of Mohammed Kudus.

“I was already aware of him before coming because I had heard about him and had seen his goals. When I played the last national team break with him, he already surprised me a lot,” he added.

“To my colleagues [at Athletic Club], when they asked me if someone had impressed me, I always talked about him.”

KickOff.com can confirm that they are after Ghana international keeper Sammy Adjei, a 28-year-old capped 37 times at senior international level. Yves Charles Ebonda has just informed us that he got a call from a United official on Friday enquiring about Adjei’s availability and what he would cost them. Ebonda, because he is in South Africa, represents Meir Rifman, who is a Fifa-licensed agent based in Israel, where Adjei used to play for FC Ashdod. Ebonda will be the go-between when negotiations start and says: “I called Rifman and he asked me to tell Maritzburg to tell us what they can afford. They will call me over the weekend after they have decided what they are willing to pay for Adjei.” Adjei is back in Ghana after leaving FC Ashdod, where he was a regular. He is now at Hearts of Oak, the club coached by former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs coach Kosta Papic. He joined them in April on a short-term contract, but a Hearts official has recently accused Adjei of an attitude problem while speaking to KickOffGhana.com. Maritzburg have no keeper at the moment. They have decided to release Michel Babale and Atthiel Mbaha, while Tashrique Goldman’s contract is yet to be renewed.
