According to information obtained by the site Files, Atlético Madrid will take action to secure the services of Pablo Sarabia, during the 2023 summer transfer window. The Spanish club has been following in the footsteps of the Parisian midfielder for several seasons. But its leaders have so far failed to find the arguments to convince him to come, although he has not benefited from much playing time in Paris.

Pablo Sarabia has been playing under the PSG tunic since the summer of 2019. The Parisian club had spent 18 million euros to convince Sevilla FC to let go of the midfielder, who had signed up until June 2024. The native de Madrid has since played 94 games in the Parisian jersey, for 22 goals and 12 assists. The player was notably loaned to Sporting last season, achieving an impressive season: he scored 21 goals and gave 10 assists in all competitions. Despite his motivation, the Portuguese club failed to keep him.
A few weeks ago, the Spanish international (24 caps, 9 goals) explained that he had stayed to find a place in Christophe Galtier’s team. The player has since appeared 15 times in the Parisian eleven, but only 10 times as a starter. His contractual situation should lead the Parisian leaders to push him more aggressively towards the exit, given that 2023 will be the last possibility to make money on his transfer.
Last year, Pablo Sarabia’s name was linked to Real Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti would have thought of him in particular to support the Vinicius Junior-Karim Benzema duo. The case was ultimately not concluded.
