Black Stars coach Otto Addo has dropped Anderlecht’s Majeed Ashimeru from Ghana’s final 26-man squad for the FIFA World Cup.

Ashimeru was initially named in the provisional 55-man list but now his dream of featuring on the biggest stage of football had been curtailed.

Kickoffghana.com can confirm that coach Addo, who is yet to publicly announce the final 26-man squad, informed the player about the news.

The 25-year-Old featured 11 times and has scored two goals and provided two assists for RSC Anderlecht in the Belgium Pro Jupiller League

Ghana will start camping in Abu Dhabi on November 10th ahead of the main tournament in Qatar.

The Black Stars are in Group H with Portugal, South Korea Republic and Uruguay respectively.
