Ghanaian forward Jamie Leweling close to sealing Union Berlin move – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Scores, Results

German-born Ghanaian Jamie Leweling is close to joining Bundesliga side Union Berlin ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old has been on the radar of several German topflight sides following the demotion of Greuther Furth, but Union Berlin are favourites to sign the budding forward.

Jamie Leweling is expected to have his medical at the capital-based club in the coming days with Union Berlin set to offer him a four-year deal.

The youngster will cost Union Berlin 4 million Euros with his current deal with the Cloverleaves expiring in June 2024.

Jamie Leweling was the brightest spot for Greuther Furth in a very tough campaign, netting five goals and providing two assist in 32 matches.

Union Berlin have made the Ghanaian a priority due to the release of forward Abdulahi Suleiman and Anthony Ujah.

Leweling was born to Ghanaian parents in Germany and has represented the European country at youth level but remains eligible to play for the Black Stars.

The stri9ker previously turned down an invite to play for the Black Stars back in June 2021.
