Continuation of the 13th day of La Liga this Saturday evening with a duel between Celta Vigo and Osasuna, at the Municipal de Balaidos stadium. The meeting was quick to get carried away with the opening of the quick score of the visitors in the wake of Chimy Ávila on a pass from Moi Gomez (8th). Carlos Carvalhal’s men nevertheless reacted brilliantly thanks to the tireless Iago Aspas who was able to reset the counters to zero (19th). But Ávila, first scorer of the match, then offered himself a double to put the Gorritxoak back on track before the break (28th). In the second act, the two teams were much less realistic and dangerous, allowing Osasuna to manage their small lead without worry. They have not lost in the league since October 17.
In the standings, Osasuna temporarily climbs to 5th position. Vigo remains in 17th place but could join the red zone depending on Sevilla FC’s result on Sunday in the Seville derby against Betis. Next week, the European championships will be played on Tuesday and the players of Pamplona will welcome FC Barcelona on Tuesday evening, while Celta will go to Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday, as part of the 14th day of La Liga.
