Attacker Benhard Tekpetey has been left out of the Black Stars 55-man provisional squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Ghanaian forward has netted eight goals in all competitions this season but it was not enough to catch the eyes of coach Otto Addo and the technical team.
Coach Otto Addo’s 55-man list was confirmed by the Ghana Football Association on Friday afternoon.
The squad consist of three local-based players, Danlad Ibrahim of Asante Kotoko SC, Denis Nkrumah Korsah and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh of Hearts of Oak.
Coach Otto Addo will reduce the squad to 26 who will represent Ghana at the main tournament in Qatar.
Ghana will start camping in Abu Dhabi on November 10 before facing Switzerland in a friendly to wrap up preparations towards the World Cup on November 17.
Ghana find themselves in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea Republic and Uruguay respectively.
