Antoine Semenyo is aware that Ghana will face a tough challenge against England at the 2026 World Cup.

“There’s been a bit of small talk [with English players], but as Ghanaians, we know it’s going to be a bit of a challenge,” he told CBS Sports.

Semenyo acknowledged England’s star-studded lineup, saying “They are a star-studded team. They have so many top class players…”. However, he’s confident in Ghana’s abilities, adding “but we believe in ourselves”.

The forward is looking forward to the matchup, emphasizing Ghana’s determination to make an impact.

Semenyo’s comments come as Ghana prepares for the 2026 World Cup, drawn against England, Panama and Croatia in Group L.

The Black Stars begin their campaign against Panama before facing England and Croatia later in June.
