Black Stars centre-back Mohammed Salisu has been excused from the national assignment against Nigeria in the 2025 Unity Cup due to “personal reasons”.
The defender was part of Ghana’s 23-man squad for the four-nation tournament, staged in London, England.
But he is still based in France with specific reasons unknown.
However, the Ghana Football Association has reiterated its hope that Salisu will return and be in action in their next encounter.
Ghana will face Trinidad and Tobago for a third spot after losing 2-1 to Nigeria in their opener.
