Viktoria Plzen forward Prince Kwabena Adu has arrived in Japan to join the Black Stars camp ahead of the Kirin Cup friendlies against Japan (Nov 14) and South Korea (Nov 18).
This marks his first senior national team call-up, a testament to his consistent performances in the Czech Republic.
Adu, 23, scored five league goals this season and impressed in the UEFA Europa League.
Coach Otto Addo is evaluating Adu as part of Ghana’s World Cup 2026 preparations, alongside new faces Kelvin Nkrumah (Medeama SC) and Prince Osei Owusu (CF Montreal).
Key players like Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, and Mohammed Kudus are absent due to injuries.
“The 23-year-old received an invitation for the Kirin Cup tournament,” Viktoria Plzen confirmed.
Addo’s squad will train in Nagoya on Wednesday before facing Japan.
