2023 CAF Awards: Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen named Men’s Player of the Year

Nigeria star, Victor Osimhen has been crowned the CAF Men’s Player of the Year after his outstanding displays for both club and country.

The talented striker had a season to cherish during the 2022/23 season where he inspired SSC Napoli to win the Italian Serie A.

In that campaign, Victor Osimhen played 32 league matches for the Italian Champions as he scored 26 goals and provided four assists.

His heroics together with his impressive displays for the Super Eagles of Nigeria has now seen him being Crowned Men’s Player of the Year at the 2023 CAF Awards.

He beat competition from Mohammed Salah and Achraf Hakimi.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala has also been named the Women’s Player of the Year at the 2023 CAF Awards.

The 2023 Women’s Coach of the Year award winner – Desiree Ellis

The 2023 Men’s Coach of the Year award winner – Walid Regragui

The 2023 Women’s Player of the Year – Asisat Oshoala
