2023 CAF Awards: Morocco named National Team of the Year, Victor Osimhen wins big & More

It was a night of glitz and glamour on Monday, December 11, as CAF held its 2023 Awards ceremony.

The highlight of the night was when Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen was named the CAF Player of the Year for his outstanding displays for his club and country.

In the other categories, Asisat Oshoala of Nigeria won the Women’s Player of the Year award while Morocco national team head coach Walid Regragui won the Coach of the Year award.

For the Ghanaian interest, Black Stars duo Mohammed Kudus and Thomas Partey have been named in the CAF Team of the Year.

2023 Men’s Interclub Player of the Year – Percy Tau

2023 Women’s Interclub Player of the Year – Fatima Tagnaout

The 2023 Club of the Year (MEN) – Al Ahly

The 2023 Club of the Year (WOMEN) – Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies

The 2023 Women’s Coach of the Year award winner – Desiree Ellis

The 2023 Men’s Coach of the Year award winner – Walid Regragui

The 2023 Women’s Player of the Year – Asisat Oshoala
