His debut for the club saw a dramatic 98th-minute equalizer against Burnley, setting the stage for what would become a stellar season.
Brandon Thomas-Asante has made 20 appearances, scored six goals, and assisted two goals in the English Championship this season.
Ghana is in Group B alongside record winners Egypt, Mozambique, and Cape Verde.
