Ludogorets forward Bernard Tekpetey says he is “not sad” after missing out in Ghana’s final 27-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.
The 26-year-old has scored 11 goals and set up seven others this season but was not enough to earn him a spot in the team heading to Ivory Coast for the continental event.
“I’m not sad for been omitted from Ghana’s final squad for the AFCON because I believe in time and season as said in the Bible,” He told Asempa FM in an interview monitored by Kickoffghana.com.
“I know if it’s my time I will find myself in the team and I know if it’s my season, definitely it will be great for me.”
Ghana are placed in Group B of the 2023 AFCON, alongside Cape Verde, Egypt, and Mozambique.
The tournament is scheduled to kick off on January 13 and will end on February 11, 2024.
