Bofoakwa Tano will welcome Karela United to the Sunyani Coronation Park on Sunday in matchday 23 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Premier League returnees will be hoping to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat against Bibiani Goldstars in the previous fixture when they take on Karela United, who have been in form in recent games.
Bofoakwa Tano have been in dismal form since the resumption of the Ghanaian top-flight ending of last month. They have managed just a win in five games, losing two and drawing two in the process.
With 23 points, Bofoakwa Tano find themselves in the relegation zone and must uplift their performance to escape the drop at the end of the season. Coach John Eduafo and his charges are currently 16th on the league log.
Aware of their situation, Bofoakwa Tano will aim for a strong performance against their opponent in order to secure maximum points to push them further on the table.
The Sunyani-based club will be aiming for victory, but them come up against Karela United, who have been outstanding in their last five games. they have racked up three wins, one defeat and one draw since the resumption of the league.
Karela United, on the other hand, is enjoying an amazing second half of the season under new coach Abukari Damba. The former Ghana international, who assumed the role as head coach of the club before the start of the second round has been impressive.
With 27 points, Karela United sit 15th on the standings and will be eyeing for victory against Bofoakwa to push further on the table.
Both teams shared the spoils in the first leg played at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale back in October 2023.
