2023/24 Ghana Premier League: Week 14 Match Report – Berekum Chelsea 1-0 Great Olympics

Berekum Chelsea made their home advantage count after defeating Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League matchday 14 encounter.

The Bibires and Great Olympics locked horns at the Golden City Park on Sunday in search for points but the home team prevailed in the highly competitive clash.

Prior to this game, both teams had suffered defeats in their last Ghana Premier League games.

The first half of the game ended in a pulsating goalless draw, as both teams struggled to find the back of the net.

Putting up a stellar performance, Berekum Chelsea secured a late winner courtesy Stephen Amankona’s strike in the 84th minute mark.

The win ensured Berekum Chelsea bounce back to winning ways after succumbing to defeat against Kotoko in their previous game.

Great Olympics are in a poor run of form after going four games without a win in the Ghanaian top-flight.

Despite the win, Berekum Chelsea are still 6th on the Ghana Premier League table with 23 points whiles Great Olympics drops to the 12th position with 16 points after 14 matches.
