Ghana will face South Korea in their second 2022 World Cup group game on Monday.

The Black Stars are nursing their wounds following an agonizing 3-2 defeat to Portugal on opening day.

Coach Otto Addo side are facing the prospect of an early elimination when they travel to the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan city to face the Asian country.

Ghana desperately need a positive result to stand a chance of progressing to the next stage.

Meanwhile, South Korea played out a gritty 0-0 draw with Uruguay in their Group H opener on Thursday.

Coach Paul Bento and his charges have stressed the need to go for the win against the West African giants in their pre-match press conference, a result they feel they need with Portugal lying in wait in their final game.

Monday’s meeting will mark the 10th match between South Korea and Ghana in all competitions, with the last six yielding three wins apiece for both nations.

The Black Stars ran out convincing 4-0 winners during the most recent battle in a 2014 friendly.

Coach Otto Addo has the compliment of his full squad to choose from with no injuries reported in the Ghana camp.
