2022 World Cup: Alexander Djiku after Portugal loss: ‘The fight is not over’
Ghana defender Alexander Djiku has reacted to their 3-2 defeat to Portugal in their opening game of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar on Thursday.
All five goals came in the final half hour, with Ronaldo scoring from the spot, before an Andre Ayew equaliser and quickfire Portugal strikes from Joao Felix and substitute Rafael Leao.
Ghana sub Osman Bukari reduced the deficit late in the game but the European nation held on to record a narrow win.
After the enthralling encounter, the Strasbourg star took to his social media page to assure Ghanaians the team will fight in their remaining two group games to qualify to the 1/16 stage.
Ghana play South Korea on Monday before their final Group H meeting with Uruguay next Friday.
