The midfielder made seven-goal contributions in his first eight games for the club and has also been called upon to represent the Selecao for the upcoming international games against South Korea and Japan, both of which will be played in early June.
The deal will bring in Barça around 20 million euros, while they will maintain a percentage of any future sale, too with the club having been keen to scrap the player off their wage bill.
