French side Olympic Lyon have confirmed the signing of Alexander Lacazette on a free transfer.
The Frenchman left Arsenal recently following the expiry of his contract and has returned to the French capital after five years in north London.
Lacazette, who came through the academy ranks at Lyon, has signed a three-year contract, which will see him stay at the club until at least 2025.

The 31-year-old left Lyon for Arsenal in 2017, and was the north London club’s top scorer in two seasons – in 2017/18, and also in 2020/21, and has enjoyed success under three different managers.
Laca won the FA Cup in 2020, FA Community Shield in 2017, and was voted the Arsenal Player of the Season for 2018/19.
He becomes Lyon’s second signing of the season, following the arrival Rémy Riou, who just like Lacazette, is making a return.
In addition, the club confirmed contract extensions for Maxence Caqueret and Anthony Lopes.
