Real Madrid attacking midfielder Isco has announced he is leaving the club.
The Spanish star is one of the many high-profile players expected to leave the club, ending his nine-year association with the new European champions.
He bows out having won the Champions League and LaLiga double this past season, even though he was sparingly used by Carlo Ancelotti.
A statement on his social media confirmed his departure;
“After 9 years I finish my journey at Real Madrid, a club that has made it possible for me to realise all the dreams I had when I was a child,”
“I want to thank my teammates, coaches, physios, kit men, workers at Valdebebas and Santiago Bernabeu. I also thank the fans who welcomed me in an incredible way from the first day. Hala Madrid forever!”
Isco has officially announced that he’s leaving Real Madrid on a free move this summer. Contract expires in June and won’t be extended. ⚪️?? #RealMadrid
