?CONCACAF CL: Seattle Sounders becomes first-ever MLS side to win title

Seattle Sounders defeated Pumas 3-0 (5-2 on aggregate) to become the first-ever MLS club to win the Concacaf Champions League title.

The star man of the show was Raúl Ruidíaz who bagged a brace with Nicolás Lodeiro ensuring that the tie was safe with a late goal to help the American side write history.

Lumen Field, where the second leg was held, had a record CCL crowd of 68,741, as the fans backed Seattle to became the first Concacaf champions from the United States since 2000 and just the third time in the country’s history (Los Angeles Galaxy 2000, D.C. United 1998).

With the victory, there will be an MLS club in the Fifa Club World Cup for the first time in the history of the tournament.
