Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club for another season.
The former Ballon d’Or winner has enjoyed yet another stellar season with the Madrid-based club, which culminated in a Champions League win on Saturday night.
He was also influential as Carlo Ancelotti’s team won the LaLiga crown ahead of perennial rivals Barcelona.
And as per reports, the player and the club wanted to extend the deal in what will be the Croatian’s eleventh season at the club.

The news comes a day the club bade farewell to one of their modern legends in Marcelo, who confirmed he will be leaving after a trophy-laden 15-year career with them.
The 34-year-old’s contract is up this summer and leaves having won the La Liga and the Champions League.
